Stoney Vineyard Pinot noir 2024
Light ruby in the glass, this is a gentle wine that is surprisingly developed. Cherries, warming spices, cranberry and raspberry are layered with black pepper, aniseed, fresh thyme and a flicker of smoke. The palate is soft, silky and supple, opening with a little sweetness before tightening into vibrant acidity and fine, velvety tannin—red cherry, dried currants and a hint of mushroom and forest floor. It has pleasing warmth and length, with a finish that is long. A really fine, young Pinot that overdelivers for its youth.
